TINTED MOISTURIZER
FOR LAURA MERCIER
In this production by Laura Mercier, our team was responsible for conceptualizing and developing all the CGI inserts present in the video.
Our goal was to create elements that not only reflected the brand's inherent quality but also incorporated an aura of technological sophistication.
To achieve this, we employed advanced techniques in simulation and lighting, coupled with creative direction, to achieve visually captivating and impactful results.
This was another collaboration with our big partner, Cartel & Co and Directed by Sebastian Mader.
the production
To enhance the realism of the fluid animations, we employed simulation techniques in Houdini to ensure consistency and quality. The lighting, texturing, and rendering phases were conducted in Modo. During post-production, we intensified contrasts, harmonized shots through color grading, ensuring visual uniformity, and reinforcing the narrative through the chosen color palette.
This integrated workflow between Houdini and Modo, complemented by refinements in post-production, enabled us to achieve a smooth and pleasing aesthetic.
Our team developed a variety of studies using fluid simulation. Although not all of them were included in the final film, it’s essential to acknowledge the significant contribution of each of these studies in the process of creating the final piece. We must always keep in mind that deciding what material not to use can be one of the most important parts of the creative process. It’s a constant exercise of learning to let go.
